Turkey’s benchmark stock index closed at 1,414.15 points on Thursday, down by 1.2% from the previous close.

Starting the day at 1,423 points, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index lost 17.16 points from the previous close of 1,431.31 points.

The price of one ounce of gold was $1,798 by market close, down from $1,857.40 at the previous close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul’s Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.

The price of Brent crude oil was around $73.21 per barrel as of 6.25 p.m. local time (1525GMT).
