The three public universities of Cyprus are participating, with a joint pavilion, in the 87th Thessaloniki International Trade Fair held from 9-17 September 2023. A press release issued by the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) said the goal is to promote Cyprus’ public higher education in the Greek market. Visitors to the pavilion can learn about the high-level study programmes offered by the University of Cyprus (UCY), the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT), and the Open University of Cyprus (OUC) at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. Staff from the three universities manning the pavilion also provide information to prospective students from Greece, among other things, about admission procedures, the cost of studies, scholarship opportunities, and employment prospects upon completion of their studies. According to CUT, it is the second time that the three state universities are participating with a joint pavilion in an event in Greece with the aim of promoting and showcasing their study programmes, thus implementing their commitment to developing partnerships, saving resources, and utilizing collaborations for mutual benefit. Last October, they successfully participated in the “Career Days” exhibition held in Athens.
