Ankara: One person was killed and five others were injured, including two in serious condition, in a shooting Sunday in the Kochav Ya’ir area of central Israel, the MDA ambulance service said.

According to Anadolu Agency, the daily Yedioth Ahronoth reported that the injuries occurred at a gas station near Kokhav Ya’ir, another location in Tzur Yitzhak, and along Highway 5533. An Arab Israeli was shot dead, and security forces have initiated a manhunt for another suspect involved in the incidents.

The Israeli army stated that it received reports of several shooting incidents in the areas of Sal’it and Tzur Yitzhak and subsequently deployed forces to those locations.
