Gaza city: Two Palestinians were killed, and four others injured in Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday, marking the latest violation of a ceasefire agreement in place since last October, the Health Ministry said. The ministry reported that hospitals in the enclave received two bodies, one killed by army fire, while the other succumbed to wounds from a previous attack, though the circumstances of the deaths were not specified. Additionally, four people were injured by Israeli fire.
According to Anadolu Agency, the recent casualties have increased the death toll from Israel's conflict in Gaza since Oct. 8, 2023, to 72,562, with 172,320 others injured. Since the ceasefire took effect on Oct. 10, 2025, 786 Palestinians have been killed and 2,217 injured by Israeli fire, as stated by the ministry.
Medical sources earlier reported a Palestinian fatality and the wounding of two brothers in an Israeli attack on Old Gaza Street, east of Jabalia, in the northern Gaza Strip. Concurrently, eastern neighborhoods of Gaza City were subjected to artillery shelling and heavy gunfire from Israeli military vehicles situated along the enclave's edge, according to local sources. Witnesses reported Israeli vehicles opening heavy fire toward areas east of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.
On April 14, Gaza's Government Media Office announced that Israel had perpetrated 2,400 violations of the ceasefire agreement, including killings, arrests, blockade measures, and starvation. The agreement followed two years of conflict that resulted in widespread destruction, affecting 90% of the enclave's infrastructure.
