Haifa: Rambam Hospital in Haifa reported that it has received 23 Israeli soldiers injured in ongoing combat in Lebanon since March 2. The hospital, which has been treating more than 200 people in total, disclosed this information on Tuesday.

According to Anadolu Agency, the hospital's statement highlighted that among the injured was a soldier from southern Lebanon who was transferred to the emergency department. The influx of wounded soldiers coincides with a period of heightened military activity in the region.

The clashes in southern Lebanon are marked by frequent statements from Hezbollah, asserting that they are resisting Israeli army incursions and causing casualties. In response, Israel has been cautious in releasing details about casualties related to missile, drone, and ground engagements in the area.

Tensions have escalated following Israel's decision to intensify military operations in Lebanon on March 2. This escalation included airstrikes on Beirut's suburbs and various southern and eastern regions, followed by a limited ground incursion in southern Lebanon on March 3.

Hezbollah has claimed responsibility for targeting a military site in northern Israel on March 2, framing the attack as retaliation against continuous Israeli strikes despite a ceasefire agreement established in November 2024.
