24 Palestinians Injured During Israeli West Bank Raid

West bank: At least 24 Palestinians were injured by Israeli army fire on Tuesday in the occupied West Bank, medics reported. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society stated that its crews attended to 24 injuries following an Israeli raid in the Qalandiya refugee camp and Kafr Aqab town, located north of East Jerusalem.

According to Anadolu Agency, the injuries included three individuals struck by live fire, among them a 15-year-old boy wounded in the thigh. The Israeli forces conducted the raid early Tuesday, deploying military bulldozers and dozens of soldiers across the main street and within neighborhoods, as per a statement from the Jerusalem governorate.

The statement highlighted that the operation involved heavy use of stun grenades and tear gas, leading to panic and heightened tension among the residents. It further mentioned that the army compelled residents of at least four homes to evacuate, converting these houses into military posts.

Palestinian figures indicate that since October 2023, Israeli forces and illegal settlers have killed at least 1,102 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, injured nearly 11,000, and detained approximately 21,000. In a significant opinion issued last July, the International Court of Justice declared Israel's occupation of Palestinian territory illegal and urged the evacuation of all settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
