Daraa: Three members of Syria's Internal Security Forces were killed and others injured during an operation against an ISIS (Daesh) terror group in the southern province of Daraa, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency. The incident occurred in the city of Al-Sanamayn, where an armed group led by a wanted man attacked a security patrol and clashed with its members while they were carrying out the arrest operation.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Internal Security Forces identified the armed group as affiliated with the ISIS terrorist organization. Security units surrounded the group, offering them a chance to surrender. When the members failed to respond, forces initiated a raid on the site where the group was located.

Security forces have continued their deployment across the city, pursuing members of the armed group and others involved in the attack. Following the clash, the Internal Security Command in Daraa imposed a temporary curfew in Al-Sanamayn until the security situation stabilizes.

The Internal Security Forces have committed to pursuing all individuals involved in the attack and taking legal measures against them. Since the fall of Bashar Assad's regime on December 8, 2024, Syrian authorities have intensified efforts to restore security and reestablish state control over weapons through targeted operations against armed groups across different regions of the country. These efforts are part of ongoing measures to stabilize the security situation and prevent further attacks on civilians and security personnel.
