Gaza City: At least 33 Palestinians, including three employees of the World Central Kitchen, have been killed in intensified Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip, marking a significant escalation in the ongoing conflict. The strikes have also resulted in several injuries, adding to the humanitarian crisis in the region.
According to Anadolu Agency, medical sources reported that a targeted Israeli airstrike in Khan Younis, located in the southern Gaza Strip, resulted in the deaths of seven Palestinians. This group included three workers from the aid organization World Central Kitchen. In a separate incident in the same area, eight more Palestinians lost their lives when another Israeli airstrike hit a vehicle. These attacks underscore the ongoing tensions and violence affecting civilians in Gaza.
In addition to the tragic events in Gaza, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau met with US President-elect Donald Trump in Florida to discuss a looming tariff threat. The meeting was part of efforts to address
tensions over a proposed 25% tariff on Canadian goods. Reports indicate that Canada’s Public Safety Minister Dominic LeBlanc accompanied Trudeau on the trip. The talks followed Trump’s announcement that tariffs would persist unless Canada and Mexico intensified measures against the illegal drug trade and undocumented migration into the US. After their discussions, Trump labeled the meeting as ‘productive’ on the Truth Social media platform.
