Ankara: A strong 5.9 magnitude earthquake struck Indonesia’s Tanimbar Islands in Maluku province early Saturday, the quake took place in Pulau Tanimbar at 6.20 am (2120GMT Friday) and originated from a depth of 27 kilometers (16.7 miles). There were no immediate reports of damage.
According to Anadolu Agency, a 5.8-magnitude earthquake struck south of Indonesia’s Java Island on Friday, which damaged buildings and caused injuries to 36 people.
