6 Killed in Firecracker Factory Fire in Andhra Pradesh

Konaseema: Six people were killed and a few others injured after a fire broke out in a firecracker manufacturing unit in the southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, officials said on Wednesday. The incident occurred in the state's Konaseema district, prompting authorities to launch an investigation, as stated by Lokesh Nara, a state government minister, in a post on the US social media platform X.

According to Anadolu Agency, Lokesh Nara confirmed the death toll and mentioned that instructions have been given to officials to ensure all necessary arrangements are in place to provide adequate medical care to those injured. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his condolences, describing the incident as "deeply saddening." He extended his thoughts to the affected individuals and their families during this challenging time, while also wishing for the speedy recovery of the injured.
