Tel aviv: Seven Israeli soldiers were injured Sunday in separate incidents in southern Lebanon and northern Israel, Israeli media reported.

According to Anadolu Agency, four soldiers were slightly wounded due to a safety incident while operating in southern Lebanon, and another soldier suffered a minor injury when a drone exploded near forces in the same region. In northern Israel, two additional soldiers were slightly injured in an accident. All seven soldiers were taken to hospitals for treatment.

Hostilities in the region have escalated since US and Israeli strikes on Iran began on Feb. 28, with Iran retaliating with repeated drone and missile strikes targeting Israel and Gulf countries hosting US military assets.
