Ankara: English Premier League club Manchester City's Argentine attacker Julian Alvarez has joined Atletico Madrid, the Spanish LaLiga club announced Monday. The 24-year-old will stay with the Spanish side until 2030, according to a statement. Leaving his boyhood club River Plate, Alvarez moved to Manchester City in 2022. After a loan spell with River Plate same year, he returned to the Sky Blues. He helped Manchester City bag the 2023 UEFA Champions League trophy, along with two Premier League titles, the 2024 FIFA Club World Cup and 2023 FA Cup titles. Separately, he bagged the 2022 World Cup and Copa America trophies in 2021 and 2024 with Argentina. Source: Anadolu Agency
