New Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to Qatar Andreas Nicolaides expressed the country's readiness to further deepen bilateral relations and strengthen cooperation in various sectors, including investments, energy, tourism, culture and higher education. Nicolaides presented his credentials to the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, in an official ceremony held at the Palace in Doha on September 11, a Foreign Affairs Ministry press release says. The Emir of Qatar expressed his warm greetings to President Nikos Christodoulides, underlining his country's will and determination for further development and expansion of relations with Cyprus.
