Areported 65% of European citizens are optimistic about the prospects of the European Union with Italians ranking above the EU average with 70% seeing a positive future for the Union, a Eurobarometer survey said Thursday. The poll also found that 47% of citizens in Italy have a positive image of the Union, in line with the continental average, according to the survey published on a regular basis by the European Parliament.
