Istanbul: The Cihannuma Association for Solidarity and Cooperation is set to host the upcoming Istanbul Forum next month, aiming to bring together eminent leaders, thinkers, and academics to deliberate on the myriad challenges and opportunities confronting the Islamic world. According to Anadolu Agency, Riza Yorulmaz, head of the Ankara-based organization, emphasized that the forum seeks to offer innovative solutions and nuanced analyses for the issues faced by Muslim communities globally. Yorulmaz highlighted the necessity for specialized platforms that encourage intellectual dialogue, noting that current platforms often prioritize political figures while overlooking diverse perspectives from academia, business, the arts, and civil society. The forum aims to bridge this gap by fostering collaboration and discussions on contemporary challenges and opportunities within the Islamic world. Key topics to be explored include justice, migration, economic development, poverty alleviation, digitization, mental heal th, and the situation of Muslim minorities. Yorulmaz mentioned that discussions would also cover family, culture, arts, and civil society, with participants engaging through panels, debates, keynote speeches, and hackathons. The event will underscore unity and cooperation among Muslim communities, aiming to develop practical solutions and strategies, build bridges between different Muslim groups, and enhance mutual understanding. The forum's primary themes will focus on contemporary Islamic thought and the current issues facing the Islamic world. Scheduled to take place at Halic University in Istanbul from December 13-15, the forum will feature approximately 50 participants, including leaders, scholars, and opinion leaders from across the Islamic world. Numerous academics and intellectuals from Trkiye are also expected to attend, with Anadolu serving as the communication partner for the forum.
