Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Thursday officially welcomed Oman's Sultan Haitham bin Tariq al Said at the presidential complex in the capital, Ankara. This visit marks a significant occasion as it is the first by an Omani head of state to Trkiye. According to Anadolu Agency, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek, National Defense Minister Yasar Guler, and other officials attended the welcoming event, which took place at Esenboga University. The visit is set to include bilateral and delegation-level meetings, followed by an agreement signing ceremony. Sultan Haitham and President Erdogan are also expected to address the media in a joint news conference later. The discussions and agreements are anticipated to further enhance the relations between Trkiye and Oman.
