Haftkel: A 5.6 magnitude earthquake struck Haftkel in Iran's western Khuzestan province early Thursday, according to Tehran University's seismology center. The earthquake was recorded at 07:32 a.m. local time (0402GMT) and occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers (6.2 miles). According to Anadolu Agency, two aftershocks followed the initial quake, with magnitudes of 4.9 and 5, as reported by the US Geological Survey data. These aftershocks were recorded at 0423 and 0538 GMT, both occurring at the same depth of 10 kilometers. Currently, there are no reports of casualties or significant damage to buildings in the affected area.
