Moscow: Russia on Monday stated it is anticipating further information about US President Donald Trump's reported plan to take over and rebuild the Gaza Strip. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov addressed reporters in Moscow, highlighting the numerous unresolved questions surrounding the proposal. "We need to wait for some details if this is a consistent action plan. There are nearly 1.2 million Palestinians living there-that is the main issue," Peskov explained.

According to Anadolu Agency, Peskov emphasized that these Palestinians were promised a statehood solution under relevant UN Security Council resolutions. He noted, "There are many such questions. We do not know the details yet, and we need to be patient," urging for more information before drawing conclusions.

On February 4, Trump announced Washington's intention to "take over" Gaza and resettle Palestinians elsewhere, proposing an extraordinary redevelopment plan that he claimed could transform the enclave into "the Riviera of the Middle East." This proposal has faced widespread condemnation from Palestinians, Arab countries, and numerous other nations globally, including Canada, France, Germany, and the UK.
