According to Anadolu Agency, the index began the week at 9,694.37 and experienced a drop of 27.33 points compared to Friday's closing figures. The day's trading saw the index hitting a low of 9,546.72, with a peak at the opening value of 9,694.37. Throughout the trading day, 50 indexes decreased in value while 43 saw gains. The total transaction volume on Monday was recorded at 70.8 billion Turkish liras, equivalent to approximately $1.94 billion. The overall market capitalization of the index stood at 8.42 trillion liras, or around $232.2 billion. In the foreign exchange market, the USD/TRY exchange rate was 36.4410 by 6.45 p.m. local time (1545GMT), with the EUR/TRY at 38.1870 and the GBP/TRY at 46.0010. Additionally, gold prices were noted at $2,936.90 per ounce, while the price for a barrel of Brent oil was $74.20.
