Istanbul: The Turkish benchmark stock index, BIST 100, closed Monday at 9,911.07 points, marking an increase of 2.61% from its previous close.
According to Anadolu Agency, the BIST 100 index began the week at 9,748.03 points and gained 252.36 points from Friday's close. Throughout the day, the index reached a low of 9,748.03 and a high of 10,029.83 points.
During the trading session, 26 indexes saw a decrease in value, whereas 72 indexes ended the day with gains. The total transaction volume amounted to 145.8 billion Turkish liras, equivalent to $4 billion, while the overall value of the index was recorded at 8.73 trillion liras, approximately $240 billion.
The exchange rates at 6.40 p.m. local time (1540GMT) were recorded with the USD/TRY at 36.4315, EUR/TRY at 38.2590, and GBP/TRY at 46.2530. Additionally, gold was priced at $2,886.10 per ounce, and the barrel price of Brent oil stood at $74.34.
