According to Xinhua News Agency, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi announced China's backing for the peace plan initiated by Egypt and other Arab nations. Wang emphasized that Gaza belongs to the Palestinian people and is an inseparable part of Palestinian territory. He cautioned that any attempt to forcibly alter Gaza's status could lead to further instability.

According to Anadolu Agency, impeached President Yoon Suk Yeol was released from a detention center following a decision by a Seoul court. The court accepted Yoon's plea to cancel his arrest related to his failed attempt to impose martial law on December 3.
