Gaza: Five more Palestinians were killed in Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip on Sunday despite an ongoing ceasefire deal, pushing the overall death toll from Israel's war since October 2023 to 48,458, the Health Ministry said on Sunday.

According to Anadolu Agency, a ministry statement reported that 37 more people were injured, bringing the total number of the injured to 111,897 in the ongoing Israeli onslaught. The ministry highlighted that many victims remain trapped under the rubble and on the roads as rescuers struggle to reach them.

A ceasefire agreement has been in effect in Gaza since January 19, aiming to halt the Israeli war that has resulted in widespread destruction and left the Palestinian enclave devastated. Despite the ceasefire, the violence continues to claim lives and further exacerbate the humanitarian crisis in the region.

The International Criminal Court took significant action in November last year by issuing arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant. They are charged with war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza, reflecting the international community's concern over the ongoing situation.
