Kyiv: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has asserted that the strength of diplomacy in resolving the ongoing conflict with Russia hinges on maintaining 'strong frontline positions' for Ukraine. In a video address shared on X, Zelenskyy emphasized the importance of meeting Ukraine's frontline needs to bolster diplomatic efforts.

According to Anadolu Agency, Zelenskyy mentioned that Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov has been engaging with Ukraine's partners to secure new support packages. He highlighted that Poland is preparing support packages, and Germany is expected to expedite the delivery of IRIS-T air defense systems and ammunition.

The Ukrainian president underscored Germany's role as a key security pillar in Europe and noted ongoing collaborations with EU institutions to address supply shortages. He also mentioned the Netherlands' commitment to investing in weapons production in Ukraine, while the Nordic and Baltic states have expressed their full support for Kyiv.

Zelenskyy revealed plans for discussions in Saudi Arabia, aiming to advance peace efforts. He anticipates positive outcomes from a meeting between Ukrainian and US teams in Saudi Arabia, focusing on peace and continued support.

Previously, Zelenskyy announced upcoming talks with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, following a meeting in Saudi Arabia where delegations from the US and Russia discussed bilateral relations and the war in Ukraine. Amid shifting US support, European leaders have emphasized their unwavering support for Ukraine through military aid and other initiatives.
