Chilean Navy to Adopt Turkish Combat Management System

Santiago: A Turkish defense firm, Havelsan, and the Chilean Naval Forces have signed an agreement to supply the ADVENT Combat Management System (CMS) for the modernization of two frigates in the Chilean Navy. The project is projected to be completed within four years, with ADVENT CMS being integrated into both frigates to ensure compatibility with existing systems and weapons, according to the Turkish firm.

According to Anadolu Agency, Chile will become the ninth country to utilize ADVENT CMS on its naval platforms. The system, which initially entered service with Trkiye's TCG KINALIADA corvette, is expanding its influence in global maritime operations and gaining interest from the international market.

ADVENT is an integrated battle management system developed to fulfill modern warfare requirements through a network-based operational approach. This facilitates naval platforms operating within a multi-task force architecture. Developed in close collaboration with the Turkish Naval Forces Command, ADVENT is the first battle management system designed specifically for the Turkish Naval Forces.

The system enhances operational effectiveness and situational awareness by managing processes such as threat assessment, target detection, and weapon and sensor control. ADVENT provides a high-level solution in terms of security, agility, and operational capability, thanks to its user-friendly interfaces, high integration capability, and advanced software infrastructure.
