Beirut: An Israeli drone struck a car and bulldozer in southern Lebanon on Sunday, marking a significant breach of the existing ceasefire agreement, as reported by Lebanese media. The attack, which occurred near the town of Zibqin in Tyre, resulted in injuries, according to the state news agency NNA.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Israeli army confirmed the strike, stating that it was aimed at two Hezbollah operatives in the area. Despite a fragile ceasefire being in place since November, which had ended months of cross-border warfare between Israel and Hezbollah, this incident raises concerns about the stability of the agreement.

Lebanese authorities have reported over 1,384 Israeli violations of the ceasefire, with at least 117 fatalities and more than 366 injuries. The ceasefire deal required Israel to completely withdraw from southern Lebanon by January 26, but the deadline was extended to February 18 after Israel's refusal to comply. Currently, Israel maintains a military presence at five border outposts, complicating the already tense situation.
