Gaza: Food stocks have run out in the war-torn Gaza Strip, deepening hunger in the Palestinian enclave amid Israel's destructive war, the UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) said on Sunday.

According to Anadolu Agency, UNRWA stated, "Hunger is deepening in Gaza," highlighting that people, including many children, are relying on charitable organizations for survival through warm meal distributions. The agency reported that flour supplies in the enclave have been exhausted this week. Nearly 3,000 UNRWA trucks loaded with lifesaving aid are ready to enter Gaza, but the ongoing siege is preventing their entry.

UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini emphasized the dire situation, noting that Palestinian children in blockaded Gaza are starving due to Israel's continued blockage of food and essential supplies. He described the situation as "a manmade and politically motivated starvation," stressing that calls to bring in supplies are being ignored.

Since March 2, Israel has maintained closures of Gaza's crossings to food, medical, and humanitarian aid, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis, as reported by government, human rights, and international sources. The Israeli onslaught since October 2023 has resulted in nearly 51,500 Palestinian deaths, most of whom are women and children.

The International Criminal Court has responded by issuing arrest warrants last November for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, accusing them of war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
