Lachin: Trkiye wishes the ceasefire between Pakistan and India turns into permanent peace, and is ready to make every possible contribution in this regard, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Wednesday. Speaking at a trilateral summit in Lachin, Azerbaijan, Erdogan conveyed the importance of solidarity and joint action among the three countries in addressing regional challenges.

According to Anadolu Agency, Erdogan emphasized the significance of enhancing cooperation and solidarity between Trkiye, Azerbaijan, and Pakistan. He highlighted the mutual love, respect, and trust that unite the three countries, which together boast a population of approximately 350 million and an economic size of 1.5 trillion dollars. Erdogan outlined the role of foreign ministers from the three nations in institutionalizing trilateral cooperation, focusing on key areas such as trade, investments, transportation, energy, defense, and counter-terrorism efforts.

Erdogan also discussed Trkiye's commitment to contributing to projects like the Trkiye-Azerbaijan-Pakistan Development Road, the Middle Corridor, and the North-South Transport Corridor. He stressed the importance of cultural and educational exchanges, energy security, food supply security, and renewable energy efforts to elevate trilateral cooperation.

The Turkish president expressed aspirations for the region to become a hub of stability, prosperity, and development following the liberation of Azerbaijani lands previously under occupation for 30 years. Furthermore, Erdogan addressed concerns over Gaza, reiterating Trkiye's determination to defend the rights of innocent people and urging global pressure on Israel for a permanent ceasefire and humanitarian aid delivery.

Earlier, Erdogan met with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev during Azerbaijan's Independence Day celebrations. At the summit, Erdogan was joined by several key ministers from Trkiye, underscoring the importance of the discussions and future cooperation among the three nations.
