Nablus: The Israeli army withdrew from the northern West Bank city of Nablus after conducting a military operation lasting nearly 28 hours, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and injuries to numerous others.

According to Anadolu Agency, witnesses reported that the army exited Nablus after killing two civilians, injuring more than 80 people, and causing damage to multiple houses and shops.

The Palestinian Health Ministry stated that it was notified by the General Authority of Civil Affairs, the official Palestinian liaison with Israel, about the deaths of brothers Nidal Ameira, 40, and Khaled Ameira, 35, who were killed by Israeli gunfire during the raid. The Israeli forces initiated the operation by surrounding the Old City of Nablus, conducting searches in several houses and shops, and detaining a number of Palestinians.

Additionally, an incident in Tubas city resulted in the death of a former Palestinian prisoner on Tuesday, as reported by the official Palestine TV. Since October 7, 2023, the beginning of Israel's assault on Gaza, the Palestinian Health Ministry has recorded 977 Palestinian deaths and over 7,000 injuries in the West Bank due to actions by Israeli forces and settlers.

In a significant ruling last July, the International Court of Justice declared Israel's occupation of Palestinian territories illegal and called for the evacuation of all settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
