Jerusalem: The Israeli army announced that it intercepted two drones in the Upper Galilee region in the northern part of the country on Saturday morning. A military statement detailed that the interception occurred following sirens that alarmed the Upper Galilee area as two UAVs were launched toward Israel and subsequently intercepted by the air force. Concerns over falling debris triggered rocket and missile sirens in the area, the statement added.

According to Anadolu Agency, sirens had also sounded earlier in the Upper Galilee and near Kiryat Shmona, which is close to Israel's border with Lebanon. In a broader context, the army reported that its air force had intercepted multiple drones aimed at Israeli territory, following alerts in the Judea and Dead Sea areas of the occupied southeastern West Bank.

Iran's semi-official Tasnim news agency stated that Arash-type suicide drones 'successfully struck and completely destroyed designated targets deep in Israel.' This development came after Israeli forces attacked Iran in the early hours of Friday, targeting nuclear and missile facilities. The attack resulted in the death of over 104 individuals, including top military commanders and scientists, and injured nearly 380 people.

In retaliation, Iran launched ballistic missiles targeting several areas across Israel, leading to the deaths of three people and injuring over 90 others, as per reports.
