Tehran: Iran's armed forces have issued a stark warning to Israelis, urging them to leave their country as ongoing military confrontations between the two regional adversaries intensify. The state news agency IRNA reported on Sunday that Iran's military has cautioned that the region may soon become "uninhabitable."

According to Anadolu Agency, Reza Sayyad, spokesperson for the armed forces, delivered a grim message following a renewed wave of Iranian strikes against Israel. Sayyad warned that seeking refuge underground would not ensure the safety of Israelis and stressed that civilians should not be used as human shields by what he referred to as the "criminal regime."

In addition to Sayyad's remarks, Mohsen Rezaei, a senior commander in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and member of Iran's Expediency Council, suggested that Iran could take significant actions that might destabilize the entire region. Rezaei urged "wise people" in the United States and Europe to act swiftly to disengage from the conflict, warning that Iran could not remain passive in the face of their involvement.

The tensions have been escalating since Israel launched airstrikes on various sites within Iran, targeting military and nuclear facilities last Friday. In response, Tehran has conducted retaliatory strikes, leading to ongoing attacks and counterattacks between the two nations.

Efforts for de-escalation have been addressed by US President Donald Trump, who stated that peace could be achieved, noting that discussions and negotiations were in progress to resolve the conflict.
