Tel Aviv: China urged its citizens to leave Israel and Iran 'as soon as possible,' highlighting the escalating military conflict between Tel Aviv and Tehran, as reported by Chinese state media.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Chinese Embassy in Tel Aviv advised Chinese nationals in Israel to exit the country swiftly via land border crossings while ensuring their personal safety. The embassy has recommended utilizing Jordan as the preferred exit route. Similarly, the Chinese Embassy in Tehran has advised its citizens to leave through land border crossings and identified the Razi, Nordooz, Astara, and Bajgiran crossings as priority routes. The embassy warned of the potential closure of these crossings due to escalating tensions.

The regional conflict intensified following Israel's airstrikes on various locations in Iran, including military and nuclear sites, prompting retaliatory strikes from Tehran. Israeli authorities reported 24 fatalities and hundreds of injuries from Iranian missile attacks. Meanwhile, Iran claimed that the Israeli assault resulted in at least 224 deaths and over 1,000 injuries.

China has condemned Israel's actions against Iran and cautioned that Middle Eastern nations could be the first to experience severe repercussions if the conflict worsens.

In a separate development, India also urged its citizens to exit Tehran. The Indian Embassy in Tehran advised all Indian nationals and persons of Indian origin to relocate to safer areas outside the city. The Indian Foreign Ministry confirmed that Indian students have been moved out of Tehran and that some citizens have been assisted in leaving Iran via the Armenia border.

The situation remains tense, with international calls for civilians to evacuate amid the ongoing conflict.
