Paris: France has reiterated its opposition to a "nuclear Iran" while advocating for a diplomatic resolution to the recent escalation in tensions. French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot addressed the National Assembly, emphasizing France's commitment to peace and security. He underscored the need for negotiations to address the nuclear and ballistic concerns surrounding Iran.

According to Anadolu Agency, Barrot stressed that negotiation remains the only viable path to de-escalate the situation and urged for restraint and dialogue from all parties involved. France aims to obtain significant concessions from Iran, differentiating its approach from that of the United States.

Barrot also highlighted France's stance on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, expressing opposition to the occupation of Gaza and the West Bank. He emphasized the importance of allowing humanitarian aid into Gaza and reiterated France's commitment to a two-state solution. The postponed UN conference on this issue remains a priority for France and its co-host Saudi Arabia.
