Istanbul: Trkiye's benchmark stock index, the BIST 100, concluded the week on a positive note, closing at 9,203.37 points on Friday, marking a 1.11% increase. The index commenced the day at 9,195.44 points and gained 101.35 points from the previous day's close.

According to Anadolu Agency, the BIST 100 index experienced fluctuations throughout the day, reaching a low of 9,146.88 and a high of 9,259.15. The market value of the index was approximately 8.4 trillion Turkish liras, equivalent to $212 billion, with a trading volume of 80 billion Turkish liras, or $2.02 billion.

In terms of stock performance, 72 stocks on the index experienced gains, while 24 stocks saw declines compared to the previous close. Meanwhile, gold was valued at $3,367.30 per ounce, and Brent crude oil was priced at $75.35 per barrel at 6.50 p.m. local time (1550GMT).

The foreign exchange market also saw activity, with the US dollar trading at 39.6780 Turkish liras, the euro at 45.7510 Turkish liras, and the British pound at 53.4860 Turkish liras.
