Zelenskyy Holds ‘Long, Substantive’ Talks with Trump Amid NATO Summit

The Hague: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Wednesday stated that he had a 'long and substantive' meeting with US President Donald Trump on the sidelines of the NATO summit in The Hague, Netherlands.

According to Anadolu Agency, Zelenskyy expressed gratitude towards President Trump and the United States for their engagement in discussions addressing significant issues. He conveyed his appreciation in a statement on X, highlighting the importance of the meeting.

Zelenskyy mentioned that the discussions included strategies to 'achieve a ceasefire and a real peace' in Ukraine, along with measures to 'protect our people' amidst the ongoing conflict between Moscow and Kyiv. He acknowledged the attention and willingness from the United States to assist in bringing peace closer, promising further details to follow.

As of now, US authorities and President Trump have not commented on the remarks made by Zelenskyy.
