He highlighted the importance of the stability of neighboring countries to ensure Israel's security. Erdogan also welcomed the recent ceasefire between Israel and Iran, emphasizing the necessity for lasting peace and a ceasefire in Gaza amid the worsening humanitarian crisis in the enclave.

Erdogan advocated for the inclusion of non-EU allies in Europe's new security and defense strategy, urging for a long-term and strategic approach to relations between Turkey and the European Union. The Turkish president is actively engaging in a series of bilateral meetings with various leaders during the NATO summit, which concludes on Wednesday.
