Moscow: Russia and Ukraine continue to coordinate dates for a new round of negotiations in Istanbul and are awaiting proposals on timelines from each other, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday. There are no difficulties in the process, he asserted during a press briefing in Moscow.

According to Anadolu Agency, there are no 'blockages' in the process; the procedures for coordination simply need to be completed. Each side is waiting for timeline proposals from the other. As for the memorandum in which both parties outlined their visions for a peace treaty, Moscow does not publicly discuss its contents because it has yet to be discussed with their Ukrainian counterparts.

Peskov emphasized that discussing the memorandum through the media could harm the process. He also noted that Moscow is closely monitoring the suspension of US arms deliveries to Kyiv. He mentioned that the production of missiles is not keeping up with demand, especially with ongoing shipments to Israel and Ukraine.

The Kremlin spokesman stated that the fewer weapons that reach Ukraine, the sooner Russia will complete its "special military operation." He reiterated that fewer rockets arriving from abroad would bring the operation closer to an end.

Russia and Ukraine have previously held two rounds of peace talks in Istanbul, which resulted in solving several humanitarian issues, including significant exchanges of war prisoners. In June, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that the third round of negotiations would take place once all previous agreements are fulfilled.
