Ukraine Reports Fatalities and Injuries in Russian Strikes on Donetsk Region

Kyiv: At least five people were killed and 12 others injured in a series of Russian strikes on several towns in Ukraine's eastern Donetsk region, Ukrainian authorities claimed Thursday.

According to Anadolu Agency, Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, reported that the attacks resulted in casualties and caused damage to residential buildings and infrastructure across multiple towns.

Filashkin stated that drones and artillery were used in the strikes, asserting that Russian forces continue to target populated areas. The claims have not been independently verified, and Russia has not immediately commented on the incident.

Ukrainian authorities further mentioned that several civilians were evacuated from the affected areas.
