Gaza city: At least 102 Palestinians, including 27 aid seekers, were killed Saturday in Israeli airstrikes that hit multiple locations across the Gaza Strip, according to medical sources. An airstrike on Jamal Abdel Nasser Street, opposite the Islamic University in western Gaza City, resulted in the deaths of a mother and her three children. In the eastern Al-Tuffah neighborhood, four women were killed and 10 civilians wounded when an Israeli missile struck a house near Yaffa School.
According to Anadolu Agency, three members of the same family were killed in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood after an airstrike targeted a residential apartment. Two more Palestinians lost their lives in a separate strike on a home in the Al-Rimal neighborhood. An Israeli airstrike targeted a house near al-Shafi'i Mosque in the Zeitoun neighborhood, killing seven civilians and injuring others, as reported by the Palestinian news agency Wafa.
The Israeli army also killed eight Palestinians, including children, in two drone strikes targeting civilians in the Shati refugee camp, west of Gaza City, medics said. In addition, fifteen people were killed and dozens were injured in an Israeli airstrike targeting inhabited homes in Jabalia Al-Nazla in northern Gaza. Three family members were also killed in artillery shelling of their home in the Al-Daraj neighborhood.
Furthermore, two Israeli airstrikes on two houses in Jabalia Al-Nazla resulted in one death, while 40 others are missing. In central Gaza, a child was killed and several people were injured when a home near the Al-Hassaina School was bombed. Medical sources reported that an Israeli drone also struck a tent sheltering displaced families in the Al-Mansura area of Deir al-Balah, killing seven Palestinians, including four from the same family.
In Khan Younis, 11 Palestinians, including children and a woman, were killed when Israeli warplanes bombed tents sheltering displaced families near the Kuwaiti Hospital. Two more were killed in an Israeli strike on a house near the Al-Amal Hospital. Rescue teams recovered two more bodies from the Sheikh Nasser neighborhood. In Rafah, at least 27 Palestinians were killed and 180 injured when Israeli forces opened fire on civilians waiting for humanitarian aid.
Witnesses reported that Israeli troops fired directly at crowds gathered near the Al-Shakoush aid distribution point, where hundreds had assembled in hopes of receiving food and basic supplies. According to the Gaza Media Office, at least 805 Palestinian aid seekers have been killed, 5,252 injured, and 42 are still missing from Israeli army fire since May 27.
The Israeli army has continued its offensive on Gaza since October 7, 2023, resulting in nearly 58,000 Palestinian deaths, most of them women and children. The ongoing bombardment has caused significant destruction, food shortages, and the spread of diseases. Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
