Tehran: Iran's supreme leader advisor Ali Larijani stated that Tehran is reviewing communications from Washington regarding the potential resumption of nuclear negotiations. According to Anadolu Agency, Larijani emphasized a complete lack of trust in the US, asserting that 'we no longer have any trust in America,' as reported by the ISNA news agency. He criticized the American approach as being based on the principle that countries must either surrender or go to war. Larijani further noted that the 'new Middle East' will be a resilient Middle East. Iran denied on Tuesday US President Donald Trump's claim about an Iranian request for a meeting on Tehran's nuclear program. Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei stated through the state-run Tasnim news agency that they have not submitted any request to the US regarding a meeting. President Trump mentioned on Monday that Washington will hold nuclear talks with Iran, stating, "We have scheduled Iran talks, and they want to talk," during a meeting with Israel i Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House. On June 22, US B-2 bombers targeted Iran's Fordo and Natanz nuclear sites with 14 GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrator bombs, and dozens of submarine-based Tomahawk cruise missiles were launched at Iran's nuclear facility at Isfahan as part of Washington's campaign against Iran's nuclear program. A sixth round of talks between the US and Iran was scheduled for June 15, but Israel launched airstrikes on Iranian military, nuclear, and civilian sites on June 13. A 12-day conflict between Israel and Iran ended with a US-sponsored ceasefire that took effect on June 24.
