Suwayda: Israeli warplanes carried out airstrikes on the outskirts of Suwayda city in southern Syria, as reported by Syrian media. The strikes, conducted by Israeli fighter jets, targeted areas near the town of Al-Mazraa and the vicinity of Kanaker. While material damage was confirmed, there have been no reports of casualties at this time.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Israeli army claimed responsibility for the strikes, stating that they targeted several tanks moving between al-Mazraa and Sami'. The army asserted that the purpose of the strikes was to prevent the tanks from reaching Suwayda, emphasizing that the IDF will continue to act against potential military threats in southern Syria.

Earlier on Monday, Syrian security forces initiated a security operation in Suwayda in response to deadly clashes between Druze and Bedouin groups. These clashes have resulted in at least 30 deaths and over 100 injuries. Local sources reported that the conflict escalated rapidly following the seizure of vehicles by rival armed groups, leading to intense exchanges involving medium and heavy weaponry.

Despite the ongoing Israeli attacks on Syrian territory following the fall of the Bashar al-Assad regime last year, the newly established Syrian government has refrained from issuing threats against Israel. Assad, who led Syria for nearly 25 years, fled to Russia in December, marking the end of the Baath Party regime's long-standing rule since 1963. In January, a new transitional administration led by President Ahmad al-Sharaa was formed in Syria.
