Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan welcomed Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the United Arab Emirates, with an official ceremony in the capital city of Ankara.
According to Anadolu Agency, the welcoming event was attended by several high-ranking Turkish officials, including Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar, Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, National Defense Minister Yasar Guler, Industry and Technology Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacir, Transportation and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloglu, and National Intelligence Organization head Ibrahim Kalin.
The visit marks the first meeting of the Trkiye-UAE High-Level Strategic Council, which was established in 2023. The council meeting is anticipated to focus on discussions aimed at deepening the strategic partnership between the two nations. Turkish Communications Director Burhanettin Duran noted that these discussions would take place at the presidential complex in Ankara.
