Ankara: Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and his Saudi counterpart Faisal bin Farhan engaged in a phone conversation to discuss Israel's attacks, which are perceived as attempts to destabilize the region. The discussion, as reported by Turkish diplomatic sources, also highlighted the impact of these attacks on Syria, specifically undermining efforts to establish stability in the war-torn country.

According to Anadolu Agency, Israel launched airstrikes in Damascus on Wednesday, targeting key locations such as Syria's Defense Ministry and areas near the presidential palace. These strikes coincide with Israel's renewed attacks in Syria's southern Suwayda province, where they have issued warnings that the attacks will persist unless Syrian forces withdraw from the area.

The Syrian army's recent deployment to Suwayda was intended to restore order following violent clashes between armed Druze and Bedouin groups, which resulted in the deaths of at least 30 people. The Israeli army justifies its military operations by stating that they aim to protect the Druze minority in the region.
