Gaza: At least 59,586 Palestinians have been killed in Israel's ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip since October 2023, the Health Ministry reported on Thursday. A ministry statement highlighted that 89 bodies were brought to hospitals in the last 24 hours, while 453 individuals were injured. This has increased the total number of injuries to 14,498 as a result of the Israeli military actions.

According to Anadolu Agency, many victims remain trapped under debris and on roads, with rescuers facing difficulties reaching them. The death toll experienced a significant rise after the identification of 279 individuals, whose names have now been added to the official registry.

The ministry also pointed out that, in the last 24 hours, 23 Palestinians were killed and over 68 injured while trying to access humanitarian aid. This brings the total number of Palestinians killed in similar circumstances to 1,083, with more than 7,275 others wounded since May 27.

The Israeli army resumed its attacks on the Gaza Strip on March 18, resulting in 8,447 deaths and 31,457 injuries, disrupting a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement established in January.

In November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, citing war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Additionally, Israel is facing a genocide case at the International Court of Justice pertaining to its actions in the region.
