Gaza: Five Palestinians were killed and several others injured on Friday in separate Israeli strikes targeting displaced persons and civilians across the Gaza Strip, according to eyewitnesses and medical sources.

According to Anadolu Agency, medical sources reported that a Palestinian waiting for humanitarian aid north of Rafah in southern Gaza was shot dead by Israeli forces. In another incident, an Israeli airstrike struck a civilian gathering in Gaza City's Al-Tuffah neighborhood, killing three Palestinians and injuring others.

A separate attack involved a drone strike hitting a tent set up on the roof of Al-Rimal School in the Al-Rimal area of Gaza City, which was sheltering displaced people. This attack resulted in one fatality and several injuries, as reported by the sources.

Eyewitnesses described scenes of panic and destruction as families fled the targeted areas, many of them already displaced by previous Israeli attacks. The ongoing conflict continues to exacerbate the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

Rejecting international calls for a ceasefire, the Israeli army has pursued a brutal offensive on Gaza since October 7, 2023, leading to the deaths of over 59,500 Palestinians, most of whom were women and children. The relentless bombardment has devastated the enclave and resulted in severe food shortages.

Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Additionally, Israel faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its actions in the region.
