Paris: France, the United States, and Syria have jointly reaffirmed their commitment to Syria's political transition, territorial integrity, and regional stability. This commitment was highlighted during high-level trilateral talks held in Paris, where French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot met with Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani and US Special Envoy for Syria Tom Barrack.

According to Anadolu Agency, the French Foreign Ministry released a statement describing the meeting as "very frank and productive," emphasizing the urgency of de-escalation in the region and the need for renewed engagement. The three nations agreed on engaging in substantial efforts to ensure the success of Syria's political transition while maintaining its unity, stability, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.

The parties also expressed their joint commitment to combatting terrorism and enhancing the Syrian government's capacity to address security challenges through state institutions. They underscored the importance of supporting the Syrian government's efforts in national reconciliation, particularly in northeastern Syria and Suwayda.

Additionally, the French Foreign Ministry announced plans to host further discussions in Paris, focusing on the full implementation of the March 10 agreement between the Syrian government and the Syrian Democratic Forces. The talks also addressed the importance of justice and accountability in the wake of recent unrest, advocating for the accountability of violence perpetrators and endorsing the transparency of investigative reports.

The statement concluded with a call for ensuring that Syria's neighbors do not threaten its stability and reaffirming Syria's commitment not to pose a threat to its neighbors, ultimately aiming for stability across the region.
