Ankara: Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz received Syrian Interior Minister Anas Hattab at the Presidential Complex in Ankara on Monday. The meeting underscored Turkey's commitment to supporting Syria's stability and institutional development.

According to Anadolu Agency, Yilmaz emphasized the importance of strengthening security in Syria as a critical factor for consolidating internal peace and fostering economic development and social welfare. He reiterated Turkey's dedication to aiding Syria in building an inclusive governance structure that ensures equal fundamental rights and freedoms for all its citizens.

Yilmaz reaffirmed Ankara's commitment to supporting Syria's stability, territorial integrity, and sovereignty. The meeting also included Turkey's Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, who highlighted discussions on enhancing cooperation between the two ministries, particularly in security.

Yerlikaya shared that the meeting focused on providing necessary support to the Syrian Interior Ministry and its affiliated security units. Discussions also included sharing experiences and implementing a comprehensive training program. Additionally, cooperation on the return of Syrians under temporary protection in Turkey to their homeland was addressed.

Yerlikaya expressed gratitude to Hattab and his delegation for their visit, emphasizing the importance of continued collaboration between the two nations.
