Turkish Stock Exchange Begins Thursday Up

Istanbul: Trkiye's benchmark stock index opened Thursday at 11,317.94, registering an increase of 0.28% or 31.14 points.

According to Anadolu Agency, the BIST 100 had decreased by 0.55% on Wednesday, closing at 11,286.81 points, with a daily transaction volume of 113.7 billion Turkish liras, equivalent to $2.66 billion. As of 10.10 am local time (0710GMT), exchange rates were recorded at 42.7335 Turkish liras to the US dollar, 50.2995 to the euro, and 57.2405 to the British pound.

The report also noted that the price of an ounce of gold was $4,334.10, while Brent crude oil was trading at $60 per barrel.
