Ankara: Trkiye's benchmark stock index, the BIST 100, started Wednesday at 10,787.48 points, marking a decrease of 0.25%, or 26.63 points from the previous day's close.
According to Anadolu Agency, the BIST 100 had closed Tuesday on a positive note, gaining 0.74% to reach 10,814.11 points, with a robust daily transaction volume of 117.2 billion Turkish liras, equivalent to approximately $2.81 billion.
As of 10:13 am local time (0713GMT) on Wednesday, foreign exchange rates showed the Turkish lira at 41.7130 against the US dollar, 48.4949 against the euro, and 55.9495 against the British pound.
In the commodities market, the price of an ounce of gold was recorded at $4,036.55, while Brent crude oil was trading at $65.85 per barrel.
