Istanbul: A Turkish Airlines flight carrying pro-Palestinian activists from the Freedom Flotilla, detained by Israel, arrived in Istanbul. The flight, departing from Jordan on a special mission, successfully evacuated 94 activists, including 18 Turkish nationals and 76 foreign citizens.

According to Anadolu Agency, the activists were warmly received at Istanbul Airport by their families, officials, and numerous supporters. On the airport apron, they were presented with flowers by Hasan Turan, head of the Trkiye-Palestine Interparliamentary Friendship Group, along with AK Party Istanbul deputy Abdullah Ozdemir and Turkish Airlines officials.

The activists were then escorted by bus to the airport exit. The return of these individuals follows last week's incident where Israeli naval forces attacked and seized over 40 boats from the Gaza-bound Global Sumud humanitarian aid flotilla. During the incident, more than 450 activists were detained, with most subsequently deported. Many activists have recounted distressing experiences of abuse during their detention.
