Ankara: At least four people were killed and 20 others injured in a shooting early Sunday at a bar in Beaufort County, South Carolina, authorities said. The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office reported receiving multiple reports of gunfire shortly before 1 a.m. local time (0500 GMT).

According to Anadolu Agency, the sheriff's office stated, "At this time, we know that at least 20 people were injured. Four were transported to area hospitals in critical condition, and four victims were pronounced deceased at the scene." During the incident, hundreds of people were present at the bar, leading to chaos as victims and witnesses fled to nearby businesses and properties for safety.

Several victims received transport by emergency medical services to local hospitals, while some individuals sought treatment independently for injuries sustained during the shooting. Authorities are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and are in pursuit of persons of interest connected to the case. The names of the victims have not yet been released.
